Car parking

Most of the town centre car parks are located within 10 minutes walk, but the closest car park is in Grayburn Lane, off Lairgate. At the weekend, parking is also available behind the Treasure House itself.

Disability access

All the galleries have disabled access, the first floor being accessible by lift. Disabled parking is available adjacent to the building.

Facilities

Toilets are located on the ground floor; a retail point on the first floor sells cards, silver jewellery, silk bags and scarves, history activity packs, local history books and souvenirs. More information on the items for sale is available on the gift shop page of the East Riding website.

The Treasure House is also home to the Beverley Library and the Archives and Local Studies, located on the ground floor. There is also a superb view over Beverley from the tower. Visit the relevant websites as below for more information on these services.

Activities for children

There are a number of activities always available for children, including colouring activities and display area, interactive puzzles and a dressing-up box. There are also art-related activities and fact sheets in the Art Gallery. More information can be found by visiting the Children and Families page.

School groups are always welcome either for self-directed visits or workshops, by prior arrangement with the Education Officer. There is an Education Room which is available to book in advance. See the Treasure House learning page and Learning for schools page for more information.

Talks and tours

The Art Gallery Curator can give short talks for interested groups giving an overview of the works on display. We also offer 'behind the scenes' tours of works in storage. Pre-booking is required.
