Partnership projects

East Riding Museums runs projects and programmes in partnership with other groups or organisations. These activities enable the museums team to interpret our collections and exhibitions to audiences with specific needs and to a wider range of people in our community. Here are some of the programmes going on and the projects that have taken place.

Memory Cafe

The Alzheimer's Society runs a Memory Cafe at Goole Museum, providing a relaxed social gathering for Alzheimer's patients and their carers.

They meet once a month, on the second Wednesday of the month, in the Education Room at Goole Museum,

Every meeting has a different theme, and museum staff and volunteers bring out items from the museum's reserve collections for cafe patrons to handle and reminisce about, followed by tea, coffee and refreshments.

The cafe is always pleased to welcome new members; their next meeting after the Christmas/New Year break is Wednesday 9 January from 1.30pm onwards.
