Welcome to Goole Museum

Goole Community Museum is located on the first floor of the Goole Library building, and explores the history of the historic port town of Goole through permanent displays and a temporary exhibition programme. The museum welcomes visits from schools and community groups, and has a dedicated Education Room in which pupils and visitors can work with the museum collections.

Garside objects on display

A very GLAM (Goole Library and Museum) event

Goole Library and Museum are celebrating 50 years in the same building. An exhibition in the museum tells their story, and objects from the museum's original collection, donated by local historian Harold Garside, are on display. The exhibition runs to 26 January 2019.

Working on the Inclesmoor map

The Inclesmoor map embroidery project is developing nicely. Members have been busy with their map sections and it looks amazing. There is a meeting at Goole Museum on 19 December from 10am to 12pm for members to get together and new members to get involved. Further dates will be announced in the New Year, although members will be contacted directly. For more information go to Contact Us.
