12 December 2017 - 15 May 2018 Skidby Mill This exhibition, by the East Riding Rural Life volunteers, looks at the role of Friendly Societies in the East Riding.

Ted Lewis: Novelist, Artist and Jazz Musician

02 January 2018 - 31 March 2018 Treasure House downstairs corridor This small exhibition in our downstairs community space introduces the work of Ted Lewis who wrote 9 published novels, including Get Carter, and worked as clean-up artist on the Beatles animation Yellow Submarine. He also played jazz piano.

Little Works of Art

06 February 2018 - 07 April 2018 Goole Museum This charming touring exhibition by Emma Warren explores the history of greeting cards and postcards. It includes 280 cards dating from the 1850s to the 1950s and features Christmas, New Year and Easter cards as well as birthday and Valentine's Day.

21st Annual East Riding Open Art

Beverley's Satellite Villages

21 March 2018 - 13 July 2018 Beverley Guildhall There is a neat ring of six villages around Beverley, the histories of which are linked with the history of this market town. The exhibition looks at Walkington, Cherry Burton, Bishop Burton, Leconfield, Tickton and Woodmansey.

Musical Memories: The World of Herman Darewski

24 March 2018 - 03 June 2018 Museum at Sewerby Hall In the 1920s and 30s Herman Darewski was well-known to anyone in Bridlington with an interest in light music.This exhibition explores his fascinating life, which included composing for West End theatre, conducting orchestras and running a music shop.

Restoration Goole

17 April 2018 - 16 June 2018 Goole Museum Pippa Stainton is well known locally for her restored photographs of past Goole. This exhibition features fabulously restored photos from Goole Museum's collection, along with research inspired by the images.

Rhythms in Sculpture by David Sprakes

05 May 2018 - 30 June 2018 Beverley Art Gallery David Sprakes' sculptures are based on the natural world and the landscape of the Peak District and North East Coast. Drawing, clay modelling, mould-making, casting, construction and carving illustrates the breadth of David's work.

Our Histories Revealed: African Stories in Hull and East Yorkshire

05 May 2018 - 30 June 2018 Treasure House This Heritage Lottery funded community project over the past 2 years aimed to explore the stories of local people of African descent from 1750 to 2007. The exhibition presents highlights from the stories and images that have been collected.

1918: Duty Done!

09 June 2018 - 02 September 2018 Museum at Sewerby Hall The sweeping changes in life following WW1 were tumultuous. As the centenary of the armistice approaches, this exhibition considers the impact of the end of the Great War on those who lived through it, and its legacy over the last 100 years.
