Volunteering

The Community Museum has recently introduced a new initiative called "Beverley Museum Makers" in an attempt to bring a fresh approach to the way we engage with our local community.

Beverley Museum Makers simply involves signing up online, having a look through the various challenges we present and accepting any you think would work for you. This could be as quick as spending a minute or two spreading the word, a bit longer doing one of our projects, or joining our regular volunteer team.

Regular volunteering

The Beverley Guildhall has a committed team of volunteers, some of whom have been involved with the Community Museum for many years. The volunteers mainly carry out research for the programme of temporary exhibitions on Beverley. Some of the volunteers also help with cataloguing of objects in the collection, and some with room stewarding or collecting oral histories by interviewing local people.

A pdf document containing more information on the volunteering opportunities in the Beverley Guildhall is available to download here.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Beverley Guildhall you should download this document, print out and complete the application form included, and return it by post to the address given in the contact us page.
