Children and families

Activities

The following items are available for children in the Beverley Guildhall:

  • 'Explorabags' containing all the tools you need to explore the museum.
  • '5 Things to Discover' sheets and stickers.
  • Picture dice you roll to challenge you to find things in each room.
  • Toy baskets in each room
  • You can also dress up as a judge or a prisoner in the courtroom!


Children also enjoy using their observation skills to spot all the beavers (the town’s symbol) that may be seen on many items around the building.

For adults who are interested in finding out more about the building the following items are available:

  • Information sheets, available to borrow during your visit, on the paintings currently on display in the Guildhall.

Workshops and other open days

The Guildhall has occasional activities, some of which may be suitable for children. For more information on this year’s events go to the Guildhall events page.
